The design directive for this two-bedroom, pre-war pied-à- terre was to make it hotel-like and modern, with a nod to the colorful palettes of the family’s hometown of Mexico City. Without changing any of the architectural features, we chose new furnishings and fixtures to give thespaces an open and airy feel. Custom beds make the smaller bedrooms feel bigger, as does the neutral color palette with small pops of bright color.
